At Jagex, we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of gender, and one that reflects the millions of diverse and varied players of our games, from across the world.
For the 2023-24 reporting period, our mean gender pay gap has improved. Moving to 13.6%, down significantly from 25.8% the previous year. This progress reflects the tangible steps we’ve taken to improve equity and inclusion across our business, over the last year. This includes:
Introducing a structured career development framework, providing clear guidance on roles, responsibilities, and opportunities for advancement at every level.
Refreshing our company values and leadership expectations, helping to create a culture grounded in respect, collaboration, and inclusion.
Broadening our recruitment outreach to attract talent from a more diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.
Reviewing our pay structures to ensure fair and consistent compensation across genders, roles and teams.
While progress has been made, we recognise that challenges remain — both within our company and across the wider games industry. Roles in STEM disciplines such as engineering and data science continue to see lower female representation, a trend we are actively working to change.
Looking ahead, we are committed to:
Strengthening partnerships with organisations that champion gender diversity in games and technology.
Embedding inclusive hiring practices and leadership accountability across our recruitment and development processes.
Evolving our internal frameworks to ensure transparency and fairness in every stage of the employee journey.
We know this is a long-term journey — and we are proud to be making progress. Creating an inclusive and equitable Jagex isn’t just the right thing to do — it’s essential to our success as a business, an employer and as a community.
